Sphoten allows AI music distribution on selected plans. This policy explains who can release AI-assisted or AI-generated music through our platform, how annual release quantity limits work, and why we built different rules for each pricing tier.

What counts as partial AI music?
Partial AI music means distributing AI-assisted or generated musical works under Sphoten platform policy and review guidelines. Limits below apply to the number of AI releases you may submit each year, separate from non-AI uploads on eligible plans.
All AI submissions remain subject to store policies, fraud checks, metadata accuracy, and rights verification.
Which plans allow AI music distribution?
AI music distribution is available on Basic and Pro with defined annual release quantity limits. Free and Custom plans do not support AI music releases.

Annual release quantity limits
To better respect the work of original authors and keep the ecosystem healthy, each eligible plan includes an annual cap on how many AI music albums you may release:
- Basic — up to 10 AI albums per year
- Pro — up to 25 AI albums per year
These limits count approved and submitted AI album releases within your billing year. Once you reach your annual cap, additional AI releases must wait until your next cycle or require a plan upgrade.
Track limit per AI album
Each AI music album may include no more than 6 tracks. If you submit an AI album with more than 6 tracks, the release will be rejected and will automatically use one of your AI release slots for that billing year — even if the album is not delivered.
Please verify track count, metadata, and audio files before submitting to avoid losing a release opportunity.
Custom plan and original artists
Our Custom plan is designed to better serve labels, established artists, and catalog teams with tailored workflows, revenue share, and dedicated operations. Because this tier focuses on original authorship and professional catalog management, we do not partner on AI music releases under Custom.

Platform delivery & availability
Sphoten distributes to a wide network of streaming services, download stores, and partner channels. See our full platform directory for the current list. We do not guarantee that every release will go live on every platform. Final placement depends on each store's policies — including rules for AI-assisted music, explicit content, territorial rights, and fraud prevention — as well as the destinations you select at upload and the outcome of release review.
Platform partnerships and store requirements change over time. A platform listed in our directory or selected during upload does not constitute a promise of 100% global availability. If a store declines or removes a release, we will share feedback when provided and help you understand next steps where possible.
Review and enforcement
Sphoten may decline, delay, or remove releases that violate this policy, exceed track or annual limits, mislabel AI content, infringe third-party rights, or breach partner platform rules. Rejected submissions that count against your annual AI release allowance cannot be restored. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions.
